Press Release Summary = Former Accenture Head of European Healthcare sector joins RocSearch Advisory Board Brings in domain expertise in Healthcare and IT Consulting
Press Release Body = July 10, 2006: Archie Galbraith, former Head of Accenture's European Healthcare practice, has joined the advisory board of RocSearch, the UK-based knowledge services company.
Archie, who for most of his career worked as a management consultant on large-scale strategic and operational changes in multinational organizations, is best known for heading the team that positioned Accenture to win a Ł2-billion contract with the NHS - the largest such deal in the healthcare consultancy business.
His move to a smaller company points to, in his words "a recognition that the old world of management consulting is being replaced by a global market place for intelligence based services" - a market many consider to be the next big step in the successful global outsourcing business.
"Knowledge services are a critical part of professional business. We are recognizing the lack of barriers to intelligence outsourcing and creating a new generation of support services for clients anywhere in the world. It's no longer acceptable to run a business without taking advantage of global talent. India is moving on to offer more sophisticated services than the traditional process outsourcing, and is now playing a full part in how businesses are run, regardless of their geography," said Archie during a recent speech at Pepperdine University, California. "The knowledge services industry will create new kinds of partnerships to help global companies draw on more diverse aspects of skills in countries such as India. RocSearch is an example of the new wave of business models, based on focus. The client company focuses on their industry specialty, their relationships, and their products. RocSearch becomes part of the machinery that lets them drive that business." said Archie.
Based out of Los Angeles, Archie will support the company's expansion plans in the US and also help pursue new business in the knowledge services outsourcing space. In 10 years at Accenture, Archie led many business development initiatives globally and in specific markets involving opportunity assessment, product development and client servicing in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry.
"We foresee healthcare and information technology to be one of the strongest sectors in the research consulting industry. We aim to focus on these high growth markets, and are evolving our research capabilities in line with this. Archie's background and his wealth of knowledge make him a powerful addition to our leadership team and will help us in achieving our strategic objectives", commented Neeraj Bhardwaj, CEO RocSearch.
Archie's experience in healthcare includes working with 5 of the world's Top-10 pharmaceutical companies in sales and delivery-based relationships. He has also been an advisor to the management board of the UK Medicines and Health Regulatory Agency.
